The First EchoGRID workshop took place in Beijing 8-9 February 2007, hosted by Beihang University , see the agenda.
This first event was divided in three specific sessions: - Grid Open standards (Open Source, Grid Usage and Future Expectations) - Grid and the virtual computing environment programming (approach for grid programming component & API) - Grid middleware - Globus, glite Unicore … (Description of the middleware in China and potential interoperability issues) The roadmaps of importance in Europe and China were described to improve participants knowledge on existing grid activities and visions. An overview of Running R&D projects, Industrial and Research initiatives and experiences, and a general situation of the market in Europe and China were also presented. |
